Leaving Room for the Unexpected: A NYC Adventure, Curated Campus & Finding Growth in the Cracks

I don’t know about you, but March certainly kept things interesting. It was one of those months where I looked back and thought, “Oh… that was actually a lot.” Yet somehow it all turned into a few good stories.

Celebrity

One of the few goals we had for our NYC girls’ weekend was to maximize our steps… and our meals. Everything else would fall into place. While we did hit almost 30,000 steps one day, a celebrity sighting was not part of the plan.

Because we left a little room for spontaneity, we found ourselves walking by the Peloton studio one freezing Friday evening. There was a long line, so naturally we slowed down and peeked in. A security guard came out and casually mentioned that a couple of the well-known instructors were there. It was a fun, only-in-NYC moment we never would have stumbled into if we’d been rushing from one thing to the next.

The takeaway? Maybe leaving a little room in the plan is the best plan.

College

I’m so excited to officially share something that has been growing behind the scenes: Curated Campus. It’s an extension of Curated Concierge, created specifically to support UVA students and their families, especially those who aren’t local. Think move-in, move-out, summer storage, and all the logistics that can feel overwhelming from a distance.

If this is a season you or someone you know is heading into, you can explore more at curatedcampus.com. And as always, feel free to pass it along to someone who might need it.

Crack

I was cleaning up my patio the other day and noticed a small butter-yellow flower growing right out of a crack. Not in a garden bed. Not somewhere perfectly planted. Just in a crack.

It felt like a quiet reminder that growth doesn’t always happen in ideal conditions. Sometimes it shows up in the middle of the mess, in the overlooked places, in the spaces we didn’t plan for. And somehow, it’s still beautiful.

A Gentle Reminder

If March felt like a lot for you too, maybe there’s a good story in there somewhere. Whether it’s making room for spontaneity, leaning on a little extra support, or simply noticing the beauty in an imperfect season, you don’t have to carry it all alone. That’s exactly what I’m here to help with.
