Colors, Caprice & Compilation: On Finding Your Best Shades and Lightening Your Load

Ever feel like you are just throwing on whatever is clean and hoping for the best? Or was that just me on Monday morning after being out of town?

This time, we are talking color analysis, because apparently knowing your best shades can make getting dressed way easier. We are also embracing a little caprice (because sometimes the best moments are not planned) and sharing a compilation of the ways Curated Concierge can help lighten your load.

Colors

Have you ever had a color analysis done? You know, where someone drapes fabric swatches around your neck like a very fashionable science experiment and determines if you are a Winter, Spring, Summer, or Autumn. The right colors are supposed to make you glow, while the wrong ones allegedly make you look like you just pulled an all-nighter.

Sounds great in theory, but here is my fear: what if I find out navy blue is not my color? Do I just pretend I never heard that and carry on? I have been talking with my girlfriends about this, and we came up with a little list of pros and cons. On the plus side, there is no more guessing, you just buy what makes you look amazing, your outfits magically look more put together, and you might finally understand why that one shirt always makes you look slightly unwell. On the other hand, what if your favorite color betrays you? It can also be very subjective, since one consultant says you are a Summer and another swears you are an Autumn. And do you actually have to stop wearing black? (No. Absolutely not.)

So tell me, have you ever had a color analysis? Did it rock your world or just stress you out?

Caprice

I will admit this was a new word for me. It is the art of changing your mind just because. One day, you are all about decluttering and minimalism; the next, you are convinced you need a whole new wardrobe in your correct seasonal colors (still emotionally unprepared to hear if navy blue is not mine).

Caprice is what makes life fun. It is the spontaneous road trip, the last-minute decision to rearrange your furniture, the sudden urge to take up gardening even though you have never kept a plant alive. It is also why we start projects we may or may not finish (looking at you, half-organized closet). So here is a little challenge: between now and next time, do one thing just for the fun of it. No practicality required. Try a new ice cream flavor, take a different route home, or wear the wrong color just to prove a point.

Compilation

Spring is a season of renewal, and if your to-do list is feeling extra right now, you are not alone. (Confession: I have my own people I call on for help too!) So here is a little compilation of the ways I help. On the home and lifestyle side, that looks like personal concierge support for day-to-day tasks so you can focus on what matters most, home resets to bring order back after a busy season or event, home-away check-ins to keep your home secure while you are away, and scheduling and coordination for everything from kids’ activities to home maintenance.

For seasonal and special occasions, I help with holiday shopping, decorating, wrapping, and event prep, along with seasonal transitions and decluttering, packing away decor, organizing spaces, and refreshing your home. I also handle gift shopping, wrapping, and shipping so the thoughtful things still get done, even in a busy stretch.

You Do Not Have to Carry It All

Whether you are curious about your best colors, chasing a little spontaneity, or simply ready to hand off the to-do list that never seems to end, the goal is the same: a life that feels a little lighter and a lot more like you. If any of that compilation sounds like exactly what you need, I would love to help carry some of it for you.
